Joe Doherty

Joe Doc — Presenter, Authorised Chill

Joe Doc is a radio presenter, music enthusiast and independent programme producer with an eclectic taste in music and a distinctly stupid sense of humour.

Based in Derbyshire, Joe presents Authorised Chill, his weekly two-hour music show.

With a background that includes music recording and production, Joe brings a lifelong enthusiasm for discovering, collecting and sharing music. His tastes range from soul, funk and jazz to classic rock, indie, trip-hop, electronica and just about anything else that catches his ear.

Joe independently researches, programmes, presents and produces Authorised Chill, combining carefully selected music with interesting stories, unexpected facts, occasional impressions and his own understated observations on life.

Never one to be restricted by conventional playlists or musical boundaries, Joe believes there's room for both the familiar favourites and the records you never knew you needed to hear.

Away from the microphone, his interests include history, antiques, wildlife and exploring the world around him — all of which have a habit of finding their way into his broadcasting.

Expect good music, a few surprises and the occasional questionable impression.

Joe Doc — Authorised Chill. Music without the rules.
